Horizon makes USPS/FedEx, USDA, and IATA approved shipping boxes for live birds. That's it. That's
all we do. But we do it great! Unlike our competitors, we test our containers extensively for any
heat build-up and ventilation flow problems that will occur in planes,
especially with double-stack designs.
Horizon, along with Al Cumings and UGA, was solely responsible for getting the
USPS to start mailing live birds back in 1989. Anything was better than air
cargo, and cheaper!
We also helped push FedEx to accept live birds for the
USPS in late 2006 just before the USPS was about to turn it completely off,
helping
hundreds of small businesses stay in business. We remain dedicated to being your
voice in mailing live birds thru the USPS.
